I can’t even express how beautiful and inspiring this piece is at so many levels: visual imagery and consistent thematic elements, musically, characters, impact.
You just have to watch it, to understand the many ways in which Apple’s platform and the people who build technology for it, are profoundly improving lives across the globe: from Africa to Alaska, in every field from healthcare for individuals with prosthetics, to apps that help children with disabilities express themselves.
This is powerful stuff. And the most interesting thing to me is that these are stories that just couldn’t be told without a film, at least not anywhere near as powerfully. And beyond that, they also couldn’t be told better than the folks at “California is a place” do it.
I am humbled, and motivated to make short films as good as theirs for causes as righteous.
It’s a “whopping” 10 minutes but I assure you, it’s worth your time.
